Review of Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) by Keshav P — 17 May 2015

This film serves as an origins movie about how apes managed to take control of the world. All the acting was great in this movie, but enough cannot be said about how awesome Andy Serkis was in this movie.

He played a chimp named Caesar, who is much more intelligent than an average chimp. The dynamic between him and Franco's character is quite emotional and their on screen chemistry is perfect. Andy Serkis' captivating performance really makes you empathize with the apes, and if a film can generate that type of an emotional response, then it must be great and this film is just that.
