Review of Rise of the Footsoldier (2007) by Cli O — 14 Dec 2008
I'm not sure why this Carlton Leach guy merits a biopic. He was a football hooligan who, this film would have us believe, went up to Manchester and beat the hell out of a bunch of United Supporters.
Yeah Right. And then he was a bouncer who beat the hell out of a lot of people and shagged a lot of women. Then he made friends with a bunch of nutters who ripped of some drug dealers and they got murdered on some deserted road.
The end. Who cares. It's like every cliche' from every dodgy British gangster flick jumbled into one. Total redbox film.
