Review of Rise of the Footsoldier (2007) by Ole J — 24 Mar 2009
It's not really about the Essex Boy murders, although they do make up the final act, but is a quite compelling, brutal true tale of a sideplayer who wasn't there, doesnt know what happened and some howends up looking comparatively decent against the rather unpleasant murdered bunch.
Very violent, occasionally funny, very graphic, but ultimately left me feeling flat. Not pleasant viewing. Some good performances though.
