It's definitely silly but it has many memorable moments. Personally I think Jeff Bridges is the driving force behind this movie. How they got him to accept a role like this i'll never understand but I definitely see why they did it.
Ryan Reynolds did a good job bringing life to an otherwise cliche role. Kevin Bacon is also very believable. The only thing I take issue with are the special effects. They're very disappointing. All in all, its a nice movie, not without charm and should not be judged solely on the fact that MiB came out first.
