I am amazed at the negativity toward this delightfully fun movie. Jeff Bridges as usual is outstanding as the sheriff-type enforcer. Mary-Louise Parker is always a delight. Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Bacon held up their ends well.
The special effects were great. The plot held my interest, with credible suspense at the end. I am convinced that the only reason the critics and many viewers turned against this movie is because it failed at the box office, which it would not have done had its promoters done appropriate advertising for this $130 million movie.
