Sure it is predictable. What do you expect? The story is a silly comedy. Do you expect some sort of deep story line? Get real... Bridges was funny as the crotchety old westerner, and I always like Ryan Reynolds.
The story was a little like the original Men in Black, but a little more dry. I like the little touches of the movie. The Steely Dan in the processing room, the dry character of the supervisor. I always like Reynolds delivery style.
This movie is well worth watching. Just don't expect some sort of high brow Sci-Fi, and just enjoy it for what it is.
