Review of Rio Bravo (1959) by Melissa B — 26 Nov 2007
I just caught this movie last night on AMC. I'm a sucker for old westerns, and especially if they feature The Duke. The cast is downright amazing and the script is surprisingly and delightfully witty.
They even manage to work in a duet with Dean and Ricky. It's a bit contrived, but entertaining. This film grants Wayne a bit more room for comedy without harming his persona as the ultimate man's man.
