Review of Rio Bravo (1959) by Austin B — 17 Jan 2008
I really enjoyed this movie -- the casting of Wayne, Martin, and Brennan was terrific, the dialogue is sharp, there is fantastic attention to little details (i.e., the tumbleweed blowing across the screen in one shot shows up in the next shot from a different angle).
I took a point off in my rating because of the terrifically annoying character "Feathers" as played by Dickinson -- that borderline personality chick just rubbed me raw. Elsewise, great western, great movie.
