Review of Rio Bravo (1959) by Chris S — 19 May 2010
Probably Howard Hawks best films, but its one of the best of the classic westerns. Hawks takes what could have been just a simple western story and helped it become highly engorssing thanks to its brilliant cast and its outstanding cinematic moments.
The cast did a pretty amazing job but the range of its mood is what really shines. pleanty of comedy, action and romance enough to fill a western nut's dish. The Duke outdoes himself again.
