"Rio Bravo" is a towering classic of American cinema. It's not often where you can find a movie that has all the strengths of a "Hollywood Classic" and none of its flaws. John Wayne plays one of his finest characters I've ever seen and gives a pretty flawless prefromance.
Evey moment he's on screen you can just feel the power of his acting. Howard Hawks attention to detail and historical accuracy make this a treat to watch. Every building, costume, and gun looks like it was made in 1800's.
Rio Bravo is what can easily be called a perfect movie.
