Wow, this movie sucked. Actually that is extremely harsh, I just mean that it is NOT a classic. The movie moved so slow that I was tempted to turn it off many times. The only finished it to see what all the fuss is about.
The good is that John Wayne and Walter Brennan were awesome. The movie had some very good scenes like the finale, but most of it was just extremely dull. I did not feel that there were any stakes at all, and in a movie about prisoners being guarded that is a gigantic problem.
I probably will never watch this movie again.
