Not offensively bad, but not very good either. The movie thinks itself to be way funnier then it actually is. I saw this movie in a theater full of kids and they laughed less then 5 times. At its best, Rio is mildly amusing.
I will say that the color palette is eye-popping, and the music, while not very memorable, is catchy most of the time.
