Juno Mak's visually outstanding Cantonese horror film Rigor Mortis may never be accepted by western culture, but Mak's methodical pacing and artsy camera work resulted in one of the most hypnotically engrossing horror films I've seen in years.
The story isn't the best and lulls from time to time, but the direction never wavers, culminating in one of the most fantastical climaxes Ever filmed. I would definitely recommend this to all horror fans.
