Review of Righteous Kill (2008) by Marta R — 01 Dec 2011
In an ideal world this kind of film would be beneath De Niro and Pacino. The scripting is dire and it's a wonder that men who have the likes of The Godfather, Taxi Driver and Glengarry Glen Ross to their name could even bring themselves to utter such contrived nonsense.
The general plot isn't quite as awful as Avnet's 88 Minutes but it's not much better. By the time the denouement arrives the only thing tempering my annoyance at such a feeble revelation is the general relief that ending had finally arrived.
Righteous Kill is a pay-day for its two stars and little more than that.
