Review of Righteous Kill (2008) by Mark S — 14 Mar 2012
Oh dear. If only there were better parts around for actors and actresses of the age of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. So much talent is being wasted. This isn't quite as bad as Jon Avnet's 88 Minutes, but Pacino is just as much on cruise-control.
He seems happy to play support to De Niro here, who comes out of this a little better, and it's sad to see these two screen legends running around awkwardly, mere acting shadows of the displays they gave in the likes of Heat.
The end reveal is quite frankly farcical and the rest of the film is boring, unimaginative and unbelievable.
