Review of Right at Your Door (2006) by Tyler H — 28 Sep 2007
I'll give this movie its first 40 minutes. The tension through the frantic search for a man's wife after a series of dirty bombs go off in LA is rather well done. Logically, the film pulls its weight and does a realistic portrayal of what could happen if this event took place. But once the bonus rooms get open to the wife, the movie starts to fall apart. It still has the emotional umphs (like the bird scene), but logic starts to go out the window. It feels like the director didn't know how to end the film, so he tried to build a twist that at first seems ironic, but once you think about it, it's just plain idiotic even within the movie's own laws.
I commend the try, but the finale is just too counter productive.
