Review of Right at Your Door (2006) by Jim K — 27 Mar 2008
I actually enjoyed this film. It's not really a horror film but more a psychological thriller because of the situation it puts our main characters in.
Should Brad (a remarkable Rory Chochrane) let his wife (Mary McCormack) in this house after a bunch of dirty bombs are set off in downtown LA? Or should he listen to the news and seal off his house completely so none of the bacteria from the dirty bombs can get in...including not allowing his wife back into the house when she shows up coughing and covered in debris?
It's the entire plot for the film and while it does get slow and there are too many emotional breakdowns arcs for the characters and too many dissolves used by director Chris Gorak, the film is still worth a rent.
