Review of Right at Your Door (2006) by Ronald S — 07 Oct 2008
A very strong little film with a simplistic storyline and big ideas. Horror films that use "real horror" are, when made correctly, scarier than horror films featuring, say, monsters or Michael Meyers. This could happen. It could. And your loved ones could be in the middle of it. It's fucked up and fucking scary.
I don't know what I would have done in Brad's shoes. Honestly, I would have probably just let Ami in, because I couldn't take being so close together, but not being able to hold each other in, possibly, our last few days alive.
The only thing that's lacking in the film is the ending. I wanted some closure with this film, possibly giving us some kind of look as to what was going on in the rest of LA during this incident.
It's just a good little film that will scare the daylights out of you.
