Review of Rifftrax Live: The Room (2015) by Tim S — 11 May 2015

So...this was a movie? I think? As always the Rifftrax crew's jokes were good (the dig at Gamergate was worth the price of admission alone), but the movie. I just. You hear about movies like this and you think no, it can't possibly be as bad as people are saying, and it turns out it's not--it's actually worse.

The Room is so awful it transcends awfulness and becomes a horrible, awful, brain-scarring work of art. Plus it's got some ugly misogynistic undertones (well, not so much "undertones," more "it's right there in the text"), so it's kind of hard to even give anyone involved in this trainwreck the benefit of the doubt about what they thought they were making.
