Its a movie that doesnt give you that "feel good" vibe throughout the film that most of us crave. Its raw and honest and even has you squirming in your seat at some parts. I enjoyed the realness in it.
It does have some heart warming moments and is definitely worth watching. Overall the script is well written and I would have probably preferred it in book form for the simple reason that its too easy to turn off the movie when things get uncomfortable.
Unlike with a book where you feel compelled to keep reading and get to the next page. Perservering through it will give you a real and honest outlook on the main characters life unlike a movie I have seen before.
I recommend watching it on a quiet day when youre ready to take in a side of someone that you may need some extra time to absorb.
