Review of Ridicule (1996) by Melissa D — 05 Feb 2008
Seems to have dated quite badly - it was an interesting concept, the acting was good and the costumes were striking, however it was just a bit dull. I am a big fan of Charles Berling but I didn't find his performance at all convincing here.
I think a lot of the humour may have been lost in translation. Nonetheless a good period piece.
