Review of Ride the High Country (1962) by David L — 11 Aug 2007
The pairing of Joel McCrea and Randolph Scott is exquisite -- two actors near the end of their career portraying two cowboys near the end of their career. Stellar performances by both -- coupled with Sam Peckinpah's direction -- make this a classic.
The last line of the movie, Scott saying "See you later," to a dying McCrea, is about as poignant as I've ever seen.
