Review of Ride the High Country (1962) by Michael W — 16 Aug 2007
Masterpiece. Peckinpah proves that he doesn't need excessive violence to tell a memorable story. Of course, the action in this film seems more like a homage to the great shootouts of westerns of old, with shadows of what Peckinpah had in store for his next films like The Wild Bunch.
