A perfect, elegiac Western with two greats of the genre - Joel McCrea and Randolph Scott - in ther final ever roles. Peckinpah holds back on the slo-mo violence that was to become his trademark, and instead delivers a superb character-driven piece.
As good a western as you'l ever see!
