Freakin' awesome... One of Peckinpah's finest works, though perhaps one of his most under-rated (or overshadowed).

A harrowing tale of the test of true friendship, and of the struggle for truth in oneself. A little slow moving to begin with, but that is just because the stage is being laid out. I'm thinking this may have been Randolph Scott's final film, and it shows in how he plays out the final moments of the film.

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see a well-woven story. Everything ties in to something else, somehow.
