This is your average run of the mill comedy. Kevin Hart is funny, but everything he does is not funny, if that makes sense. This movie is your typical run of the mill cheesy "feel good" comedy with stereotypical characters and plot.
I don't think there's much natural chemistry between Ice Cube and Kevin Hart which adds to the mundane feeling of the movie. I also don't understand why there's a Ride Along 2 in the works, but whatever.
