Review of Ride Along (2014) by Connor S — 24 May 2014

Ride Along is a very predictable and generic buddy cop movie, but it isn't awful. Kevin Hart supplies most of the laughs throughout the movie, and as the film draws closer to the end, the action starts to get alot better.

However, Ice Cube plays the same character he has played before, and all of the characters are one-dimensional. When the film tries to be serious, it fails horribly. And the whole video game thing gets really annoying really fast.

Ride Along is generic in every way possible, and doesn't add anything new to the genre. That being said, it is still slightly entertaining.
