Ride Along is a much better then average, buddy cop movie. The same formula is followed with one serious cop who is trying to solve a big crime and a smaller, much less competent cop (in this case someone who is not even a cop) helps him out and provides comedic relief.

One thing the movie did great was provide laughs. Kevin Hart is hilarious and he makes the movie. The story itself is nothing to write home about but Harts character is worth watching the movie for. This is better then most comedies I have seen lately but still could of used a little something extra to really put it over the top.
