Review of Ride Along (2014) by Elijah C — 24 Jan 2015

Ummm... yeah this movie is pretty horrible. Not in a good way but not in a all the way bad way. The acting is ok the actors look like they are trying but they are just not that good. Trust me I like Kevin Hart and Ice Cube a lot and some of their movies.

This hast to be their worst movie to date. The chemistry is there but with the horrible script, plot, and movie all around it's hard to credit them for this movie. It's suppose to a comedy right? I really don't know but I had two chuckles throughout the movie and that was when I had hope for the film.

But no it still was unsatisfying. I chuckle more in a drama or horror movie than this film which is pretty embarrassing to the movie itself. I felt the directors could've cared less and saw this movie as a cash in.

I would say that if the movie would've been rated R it would be more funny. Of course it's not because the marketers and makers of the film just wants the money. The plot is outlandish, revolting, and dumb!!!!! Scratch that this movie is stupid all around and I hate comedies that are not funny that has a plot that makes no sense at all.

I tried and tried and tried to enjoy myself with the movie but I just can't because it's so bad. I would probably never see this movie ever again and I would like if this movie will be erased from existence but it can't sadly.

I was mainly annoyed and angered just watching this crap if a motion picture. Kevin Hart I hope that you will pick a role that is actually funny and is up to your potential as a comedian and actor. You may think I hate this movie but I don't.

There is a place in my heart that I can't hate it and appreciate the two chuckles I had. Also, I liked Laurence Fishburne in the movie but his character was shoe horned at the end and underutilized.

Overall, I am going to give "Ride Along" a D grading!
