That's why you call yourself black hammer?

Ben is a security guard who hopes to one day become a police officer. He finally applies for a police academy and is accepted. Meanwhile, he hopes to propose to the love of his life; but unfortunately, her brother doesn't like him and she won't accept his proposal until he approves of him. His girlfriend's brother is a detective who is on a case that appears to be going nowhere. Ben convinces the brother to allow him on a ride along to make or break his career path.

"I'm glad assface is not here.".

Tim Story, director of Barbershop, Taxi, Fantastic Four, Think Like a Man, Think Like a Man Too, and the upcoming Ride Along 2, delivers Ride Along. The storyline for this picture is ridiculous but there are some clever comedic aspects, and some funny one-liners. The acting is as you'd expect for the genre and the cast includes Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, John Leguizamo, Laurence Fishburne, Tika Sumpter, and Bruce McGill.

"Eat the chip. Eat it, bitch.".

I recently found this on HBOGO and decided to give it a shot. It was better than I anticipated and I found myself laughing fairly consistently. This isn't a classic, or on par with Friday, but it is a worthwhile film if you're looking for a few good laughs. I recommend catching this on cable.

"He's still upset because I set him on fire.".
