Review of Riddick (2013) by Gerry S — 17 Aug 2014
It went "back to its roots", but in the end it was pointless. There was no character revelation, as in PB, nor escalation as in Riddick where we learn more of the world he's in. It didn't really setup a future conflict, so I'm just not sure why they told this story.
I'm disappointed they neither bothered to do a backstory or a decent progression.
C'mon Vin, if this property is so dear to you, next time hire some writers who have a purpose to bring this once captivating antihero back to the screen.
