Review of Ricki and the Flash (2015) by Tracy R — 08 Aug 2015
This is a very entertaining movie about a family who finally reach a point of healing and moving on after years of being apart and the adult children having a lot of hurt to process. Everyone in the movie brought their A game.
You get that Ricki screwed up and she knows it and she is humbled by it, Meryl rocked it. Pete's uptight but he see Ricki a little differently by the end of the movie, Kevin Kline was terrific. Greg was a very supportive boyfriend, you knew that he loved Ricki and would do anything for her (and did) in spite of her flaws, Rick Springfield was very endearing.
You understand the damage done to her daughter, Mamie was amazing. It's a must see!
