Review of Ricki and the Flash (2015) by Kim D — 09 Aug 2015

This is a strong, family musical dramedy with great actors. I felt it wasn't quite as strong when Ricki, Meryl Streep's character, went back home to LA, but overall it is a quality film that is very enjoyable.

I think it could have been tightened a bit (even though it wasn't long). There are scenes of Ricki performing a couple of songs in a row, which was nice, but probably not necessary for the film.
