Review of Ricki and the Flash (2015) by Cassie M — 23 Aug 2015

Yes, we all love Meryl and she did her thing in this movie as well portraying a washed up rock star wannabe but I'm left puzzled as to what this movie was about. There was certainly a lot of her singing.

Was that the point? Rick Springfield's character Greg always looked like he was going to cry. Ricki was supposed to be on the outs with her kids after leaving them at a young age and not seeing them in years but the story failed on how we got to that to the fact they were on stage with her at the sons wedding.

How did that happen? We went from A to Z and left the rest of the alphabet out. But again, there was singing. I nearly fell asleep.
