Ricki and the Flash might be a bit of a puff piece, but it's a very well done puff piece. Lead by Meryl Streep, the cast is excellent, the music is fun and it has heart. Ricki won't top anyone's best of the year list, but it's one of those rare films for adults that doesn't take itself too seriously which is always appreciated.
