Review of Ricki and the Flash (2015) by Michael J — 30 Dec 2015

Meryl Streep seems to be having loads of fun with her real life daughter in this story of a mis-guided rock and roll mum's shot at redemption and repair of dysfunctional family dynamic. It has Diablo Cody written all over its style and Rick Springfield is a blast, almost in follow-on from his "Californication" role.

But still, it's not entirely memorable or interesting due to a lack of character engagement.
