Review of Ricki and the Flash (2015) by Zornberg — 08 Aug 2015

This movie was poignant, touching and absolutely realistic. I was several reviews prior to seeing the movie, and wonder whether those who left negative views actually saw the same movie as I did. This was an absolute masterpiece. The acting was wonderful by all involved and it was a tour d'force by Meryl Streep.

This movie is reminiscent of The Wrestler, in which the main character has to face previously poor life choices. The main difference is that while there is resentment by all involved, there is also a measure of forgiveness available, as there would be in real life.
