Review of Ricki and the Flash (2015) by Beecee — 09 Aug 2015
This is a genuinely enjoyable movie. Meryl Streep did a great job as the rock singer, but they all seemed too good for a San Fernando Valley bar. It's great to see a romance featuring an attractive couple in their 60's.
Meryl's daughter was adequate as her suicidal daughter. However, the wonderful Kevin Kline was totally wasted in an underwritten role as her ex. It probably won't win an Oscar, but it was fun.
