The problem with this movie is the same one every previous attempt at telling Pryor's life story has had, be it documentary, biography, or autobiographical: Nobody is ever, ever, *ever* going to tell it as well as Pryor did onstage. It's just not going to happen. And since it's not going to happen, you'd be better off looking at one of his in-concert movies.
The two stars are because there are rare clips and photos for fans to enjoy, but still: They're never going to tell this story as well as Pryor did. It's just not going to happen.
