Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Bill B — 08 Oct 2010
Actually picked this up cheap, gave it another look and was happy that it held up depressingly well.
Shorthand review of the film: All married couples at least vaguely hate each other.
I enjoyed this film as a character study of flawed people who kept trying different things to see what stuck as far as actually making them happy, failing again and again as the American dream slowly slipped through their fingers, but overall it's just a depressing impression of what might've happened if the leads from Titanic had both made it and gotten married.
Evidently they'd grow to hate one another.
Well worth a watch.
