Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Sanna L — 27 Oct 2010
A very pro-choice film, since most of the conflict seemed to be wrapped around the fact that the main couple got pregnant and settled to a nice, bore-me-to-death suburban life before they'd had their chance to Live the Life they thought they'd have with each other. The tragedy begins when April, brilliantly played by Kate Winslet, starts to pursue the dream she thought she and Frank (Leo DiCaprio) shared - while he is tempted it's even more tempting to settle down... Not all prison cells have bars.
Leo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet have great on-screen chemistry and are at their best at serious roles like this. Certainly worth seeing.
