Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Collin R — 21 Dec 2010
Leonardo DiCaprio has done some amazing roles in his career this one is some of his finest work, up there with The Departed, Blood Diamond, Catch Me If You Can, Shutter Island and Inception to name afew, yet of completely different type obviously.
my one quiet critisim of Leo has been he seems to play the same character in different situations. this movie seemed to be the most unlike anything hes done. the movie is some what dull and boring at time yet its about a couple who become tired and unfulfilled with there lives.
the premise had potiental to be epic yet with maybe a slightly better story with a different co-star and supporting roles I think this movie could have been much better. the ending however sad it is really wasnt to fulfilling unfortunately.
it definatly isnt a movie for everyone and only people with paitents I think could enjoy it. Kate Winslet to me has never been a great actor yet a decent one, she seems to rely on nudity and sex scene in every movie she does, course I like womens bodies but common women get some self respect.
