Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Ethan T — 04 Apr 2011
Strong performances from Winslet and di Caprio are backed up by a good supporting cast, including Michael Shannon, who pipped the lead actors to an Oscar nomination despite only featuring in three scenes.
This is an appealing, grown-up drama, and it's commendable that its stars aren't afraid to play flawed characters. It also shows the importance of good source material, and definitely makes me want to read more of Richard Yates' unsentimental, emotionally honest work.
