Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Christopher S — 12 Feb 2012

2008 was one of the best years for films in the last 25 years. Revolutionary Road did not get as much acclaim it deserved since there were so many other films that were just as good if not better. Leonardo DiCaprio was excellent once again and he is becoming one of the best actors in the business.

Kate Winslet is arguably the best actress in the business right now. If she did not win the Best Actress for the Reader, she would have won for her role as April in this film. However, it was Michael Shannon as John who stole every scene he was in.

Excellent direction by Sam Mendes.
