Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Trystan C — 23 Jul 2012
Top-notch acting and direction in a movie that examines emotional and sexual suppression in the glossy world of 1950's suburbia. There was nothing wrong with this one per say, only that it doesn't succeed in the marvelous ways you would expect the players involved to.
"Revolutionary Road" deals with emotionally inhibited characters trying to come to terms with the mediocrity of their own lives. At a time when people are gripping for optimism wherever they can get it, its easy to understand why this one might not be a popular choice.
