The movie is set in the 1950s-era in Connecticut and tells the tale of a young couple whose relationship slowly and steadily starts to struggle and argue with each other as they start to become more independent in themselves.

Though after buying their new home on Revolutionary Road, Frank and April Wheeler see themselves as special and different ever since they first met. However as time passes, Frank and April become the very thing they feared the most- a typical suburban family complete with abandoned dreams and faded hopes.

But April's independent spirit hasn't been suffocated just yet and when she hatches a plan to head for Paris, her need to escape at all costs stands in direct contrast to Frank's desire to hold on to what they already have.

Revolutionary Road speaks for itself. It has honest characters, powerful writing and emotional chemistry between the actors. Titanic couple Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet reunite again for another, this time more adult movie.

I like them both as they're both one of my favourite actors and actresses and I grew up with them both as a child. There's a scene where they're celebrating Frank's birthday and that made a single tear run down my face thinking to myself constantly "Why don't I ever get to celebrate my birthday like this?" Well this movie was certainly a good movie.

Overall, Revolutionary Road gets a 9.8/10.
