As a massive Leo fan, my reviews of his work are perhaps somewhat biased, however one cannot doubt his acting ability, with Revolutionary Road being no exception. Whilst not his best work, he still manages to brilliantly portray the riddled Frank Wheeler. Winslet also performs well, together representing the particularly volatile couple. Having not read the book I cannot comment on any similarities, although I now presume that the book entails a significant amount of arguing and disagreements between our two lead characters. Do not watch this film if you are after a fun and light-hearted affair, as much of the time is spent following the troubles that the Wheelers encounter. Were it not for the great acting, this would be tedious and unpleasant, so much so that it almost makes you grab hold of your loved one and pray that you never experience such disagreements.

A pleasant watch featuring two stand out lead roles, although some of the scenes appeared somewhat rushed, and characters were often poorly introduced. Much of this however may be due to the materials found in the original book. Despite this it remains a must watch for fans of Leo in particular.
