Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Matthew S — 21 May 2015
This movie goes from sad to happy to sad to freaking awful. All movie is about a couple who are not satisfied with their lives and they want more out of it.Frank has settled for an sales job which he doesn't even like.
There is no excitement in their lives, and they decide to move to Paris and start a whole new life, with something exciting and where Frank does some work that he loves doing. Now events transpire and how that affects their life and their plans, is what this movie is about.
The cast was perfect and I don't think that anyone could've played the role of Kate Winslet better than her. It's a shame that we don't see her more often in the movies. The biggest problem with this movie is that although it only 2 hours long ,but it feels about 4.
You just keep thinking that maybe it;s coming to an end, but it's not. There are some problems with this movie, not relating to the direction but it lacks something which I can't put my finger on.
Maybe it's the writing...I don't know.Still it's worth a watch.
