Some of the most phenomenal acting I've ever seen. Revolutionary Road may be too slow or depressing for some, but its message certainly hit home for me. Winslet and DiCaprio let forth the most breathtaking performances of their entire careers, and the fact that neither was even Oscar-nominated for their work is an absolute travesty.

The range of gut-wrenching emotions and calculated thought that Winslet depicts with her face alone is astonishing, while DiCaprio swings hard and finds his mark in scene after scene, with a devastating array of heartbreaking displays.

Director Sam Mendes proves again that he is a master of pulling out the best in his actors (Kathy Bates and Michael Shannon are also brilliant) and once more creates a well-observed world filled with comlex characters, hypnotizing the audience with a heady brew of disturbing poignancy.

This is must-see drama.
