Review of Revolutionary Road (2008) by Captain_Kirk — 18 Aug 2012

I'm surprised at some of the negativity that this film has received on this site. If the idea of a film centering around a couple and their dramatic dilemmas for 2 hours don't interest you, then you might want to avoid this one.

That would be a shame, because you would be missing out on one heck of a dramatic film. Leonardo DiCaprio gives, in my opinion, his absolute best performance and it's a real shame he wasn't nominated for an Academy Award.

At least Kate Winslet was, her performance also comes off as riveting and powerful. I have not read the book nor do I read many books that some movies are based off on, but this film kept me engaged throughout regardless if it lives up to its source material.
